PS is thrilled to announce that Michelle Klipfel has been promoted to the role of President. Michelle joined PS as an Account Manager in 1995, and her leadership and dedication have been instrumental in our continued growth. In her new role, Michelle will oversee the business operations and broad leadership of all functions. David Sunberg will continue in his role as CEO and will focus on strategic business development initiatives in partnership with our Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Services, Erika Shepherd. Jeff Anderson and Teresa Christenson will continue in their roles as Senior Vice Presidents of Sales and have been named Co-Leads of the Target sales teams. As PS continues to evolve, we are proud of both the leadership team and our employees who continue to build upon our legacy of excellence, enabling us to shape strategy and drive results for our vendors, retail partners, and clients.
Portu Sunberg is excited to announce that we have acquired AG Retail Group, a firm specializing in eCommerce consulting services and the development and execution of client strategies to drive profitable growth on the Amazon platform. Amy Schlesinger, AG Retail Group’s CEO and Principal Consultant, has joined Portu Sunberg as the Vice President of eCommerce. Amy and her team will provide a suite of services that will enable our clients to leverage and optimize the eCommerce and digital distribution channels to grow their businesses. Amy has nearly 20 years of retail experience across a variety of retailers and within both brick-&-mortar and online channels. Prior to launching AG Retail Group, she ran the Baby Apparel business at Amazon. Portu Sunberg is thrilled to announce that Drew Miller has joined us as a Vice President of Sales, with a focus on Seasonal and Hardlines. Drew has over a decade of retail industry experience in both sales and merchandising. Prior to joining PS, Drew worked at KitchenAid as a Senior Sales Manager. He also spent 11 years at Target in various merchandising and planning roles across Baby, Small Appliances, School and Office, and Grocery. He holds both an MBA and a BS in Economics and Finance from Southern Illinois University.
Portu Sunberg is excited to announce that Lara Bollweg has joined us as the Director of Consumer Insights. Lara has nearly 20 years of retail market research and insights experience, most recently at Advantage Solutions, where she was the Director of Strategy Planning for a shopper marketing division. She held various roles at Target, including Research Manager in Guest Insights and as a Multi-language Strategy Manager for Target Canada. In addition, she worked with IBM as a Managing Consultant for Target’s Shopper Insights platform. Lara holds an MBA in International Management from Middlebury Institute of International Studies, and a BA in German from St. Catherine University and spent two years studying in Munich and working in Berlin, Germany. She serves as a county election judge and volunteers at the International Institute of Minnesota advising refugees and immigrants applying for citizenship. Portu Sunberg is thrilled to announce that Stacey Morton has joined our Chicago office as the Vice President of Sales for Beauty and OTC. Stacey has over 20 years of experience in the HBA and Drug industry and has held senior sales roles at L’Oreal, Lumene Oy, Johnson and Johnson, and Alberto Culver. She holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from DePaul University and a BS in Economics from the University of Florida. In addition, she serves as the Chicago Coordinator for The Shoebox Project, is a member of the Chicago Southside Community Art Center, the National Sales Network, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and has been a Chicago Women of Excellence Award Honoree.
Tom McGreal received the annual award for demonstrating the PS value of DEVOTION. A long-term PS employee, Tom has consistently been dedicated to PS overall cultural and growth goals, and acts as a subject matter expert, mentor and resource to all within the company. He provides his colleagues and teams with top-notch creative and design work, often within tight timeframes, which is a tremendous value add to our vendors and retailers. Tom has established himself as the office “MacGyver”, and is the go-to person in our office for various logistics and construction support. He is always eager to help with a great attitude and a smile, and is committed to building strong relationships with his colleagues.
Our annual award for demonstrating the PS value of relentless attention to DETAIL was presented to Maddie Bredahl. Maddie strives for perfection and always goes above and beyond for her business, her vendors, and her buyers to anticipate their needs and exceed expectations. She is proactive and sees the “big picture” to help anticipate needs before they arise. She is extremely organized, focused, analytical and detailed when evaluating and communicating information to determine the best possible solution or recommendation for our customers. She holds herself accountable for her actions and her work. Maddie is hungry for new opportunities to learn and grow which result in different perspectives and insights that can be applied to her job.
Hana Selvog received the annual award for demonstrating the PS value of DRIVE. Hana is professional, approachable, ethical, and energetic, she takes pride in her job and is always willing to step in and go the extra mile for our clients. She has distinguished herself as a leader and “go-to” person on the health and beauty team, with a deep knowledge of her vendors’ businesses. She approaches challenging situations with a smile and a sense of calm, and does whatever it takes to make things right. Her devotion has been evident as she has stepped in to help absorb responsibilities for additional vendors while her colleagues were on leave and managed to not miss a beat when it comes to service level & response time.
